The scriptures you never saw coming!
Dispensation to the Gentiles from the Apostle Paul
(Deu 29:29 MKJV) ” The secret things belong to Jehovah our God, but the revealed things belong to us and to our sons forever, so that we may do all the words of this Law.”
The Law was to convict, not save. Salvation comes from the “work on the Cross.” That Jesus came, died, rose from the dead so all would have a chance of salvation. The Law kills, Jesus nailed the Law of Moses to the cross, because He was the Law.
Remember that the first dispensation was given to Jesus from the Father, the Invisible God.
This was written right before Peter died:
(2Pe 3:14-17 MKJV) “Therefore, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace.vs. 15: And think of the long-suffering of our Lord as salvation (as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him vs. 16: as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction). vs. 17: Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness.” vs. 18: But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
Notice the scriptures tell us that Peter himself said that the “Wisdom of Paul” that was granted, could be easily twisted and would be “to their own destruction,” if tried. in verse 16. Peter also indicated that we should grow in “grace, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness.” Therefore, it is a warning that we are to be on guard that no one deceives us, because what excuse do we have? Search the scriptures! You will be held accountable. Do not take man’s word for it, search the scriptures, because what we are told to do, no excuses.
We see this is what I am warning you about. The twisting of the truth is Satan’s job and lately he has had a great deal of help.
When you hear man speak from the pulpit about the wonders of the Bible, doesn’t use scriptures in context, quotes them or just shows you one scripture or two to back himself up, ask him afterward for more backup. Then you find out if he knows what he is talking about. I am a women , born-again for ten years and by the grace of God, I have written over twenty blogs, with over a hundred scriptures in them. I did not go to any Bible school. I was taught by God by sitting in front of the computer and praying for His revelation. Read the blogs, then you will know, He gave me the gift of knowledge which is a little overwhelming sometimes. But make no mistake it is all Him. So you will read scriptures that you probably have never heard of before, I didn’t. This is a learning thing for me too, and I love it! And remember “tradition” is a dirty word.
(Act 2:1-5 MKJV) And in the fulfilling of the day of Pentecost, they were all with one accord in one place. And in the fulfilling of the day of Pentecost, they were all with one accord in one place. vs. 2: And suddenly a sound came out of the heaven as borne along by the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
vs. 3: And tongues as of fire appeared to them, being distributed; and it sat upon each of them. vs. 4: And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance. vs. 5: And dwelling at Jerusalem there were Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven.”
These were Jews from all the nations gathered to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost.
(Act 2:6-12 MKJV) “But this sound occurring, the multitude came together and were confounded, because they each heard them speaking in his own dialect.
vs. 7: And they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, Behold, are not these who speak all Galileans? vs. 8: And how do we each hear in our own dialect in which we were born? vs.9: Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
vs. 10: Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, vs.11: Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking the great things of God in our own languages. vs. 12: And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying to one another, What does this mean?”
(Act 2:36 -37 MKJV) Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God made this same Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. vs. 37: And hearing this, they were stabbed in the heart, and said to Peter and to the other apostles, Men, brothers, what shall we do?”
(Act 2:38 MKJV) “Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Kindly note: Peter’s gospel was called, “the Gospel of the Kingdom or the Gospel of the Circumcision, preached to the nation of Israel under the “Law of Moses.”
Paul’s Gospel , called, “the Gospel of Grace or the Gospel of the Uncircumcision,” was preached to the gentiles under grace. Whether we are Jew or Gentile, Paul’s Gospel is the way of salvation for us in this present “age of grace.”
The Mystery revealed:
(Rom 11:25-36 MKJV) “For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, lest you should be wise within yourselves; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the nations has comes in. vs. 26: And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. vs. 27: For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins.” vs. 28: Indeed as regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes. But as regards the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. vs. 29: For the free gifts and calling of God are without repentance. vs. 30: For as you also then disbelieved God, but now have been shown mercy through their disbelief, vs. 31: even so these also have not believed now, so that through your mercy they may also obtain mercy. vs. 32: For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might show mercy to all. vs. 33: O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
vs. 34: For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? vs. 35: Or who first gave to Him, and it will be repaid to him?
vs. 36: For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things; to Him be glory forever! Amen.”
(Rom 16:25-26 MKJV) Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, having been unvoiced during eternal times;
vs. 26: but now has been made plain, and by the prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith;
(1Co 2:7-9 MKJV) “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which God has hidden, pre- determining it before the world for our glory; vs. 8: which none of the rulers of this world knew (for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory). vs. 9: But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,” nor has it entered into the heart of man, “the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
(1Co 15:51-57 MKJV) “ Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed; vs. 52: in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed. vs. 53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. vs. 54: But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and when this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the word that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory.
vs. 55: O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?”
vs. 56: The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the Law.
vs. 57: But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This is salvation folks.
(2Pe 1:10 MKJV) “ Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.”
This the dispensation that was given to the Apostle Paul. That he should tell the Gentiles and the occasional Jew, about the “death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.” But it doesn’t stop there. This is where we are in the “Age of Grace.” And “Faith” is the key and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. That is the mystery. We will not acquire all of it until we get to Glory.
Paul’s Gospel: Given to him by the risen Christ:
(1Co 15:1-4 MKJV) ” And, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and in which you stand;
vs. 2: by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. vs. 3: For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, vs. 4: and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures; “
(Eph 3:1-13 MKJV) For this cause, I, Paul, am the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you nations, vs. 2: if you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given to me toward you, vs. 3: that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I wrote before in few words,
vs. 4: by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) vs. 5: which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, vs. 6: that the nations should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partaker of His promise in Christ through the gospel. vs. 7: Of this gospel I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God-given to me by the effectual working of His power. vs. 8: This grace is given to me (who am less than the least of all saints) to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations, vs. 9: and to bring to light what is the fellowship of the mystery which from eternity has been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; vs. 10: so that now to the rulers and powers in the heavenlies might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, vs. 11: according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord; vs.12: in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through His faith. vs. 13: For this reason I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.”
(Eph 5:32 MKJV) “This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
(Col 1:26-27 MKJV) “the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. vs. 27: For to them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,”
(Col 2:2-5 MKJV) “ that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; vs. 3: in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. vs. 4: And I say this that not anyone should beguile you with enticing words. vs. 25: For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.”
(Col 4:3 MKJV) “praying together about us also, that God may open to us a door of the Word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I also have been bound,”
(1Ti 3:8-10 MKJV) “Likewise the deacons are to be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of ill gain, vs. 9: having the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. vs. 10: And let these also first be tested, then let them minister without reproach.”
Paul was with Christ and taught by Him the “Mysteries of the Work of the Cross.” I would just like to show you scriptually that Paul, indeed was taught by Jesus. You usually do not hear this from the pulpit. So I implore you Pastors/Preachers, to TEACH, not preach.
(Gal 1:11-12 MKJV) “And, brothers, I make known to you the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not according to man. vs. 12: For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it except by a revelation of Jesus Christ.”
(2Co 12:1-10 MKJV) “Indeed, it is not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. vs. 2: I know a man in Christ fourteen years before (whether in the body, I do not know; or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows) such a one was caught up to the third Heaven. vs. 3: And I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows), vs. 4: that he was caught up into Paradise and heard unspeakable words, which it is not allowed for a man to utter. vs. 5: I will glory of such a one, yet I will not boast on my behalf, except in my weaknesses. vs. 6: For if I desire to boast, I shall not be foolish. For I will speak the truth. But I spare, lest anyone should think of me as being beyond what he sees me, or hears of me; vs. 7: and by the surpassing revelations, lest I be made haughty, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be made haughty. vs. 8: For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. vs. 9: And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. vs. 10: Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am powerful.”
Paul wrote letters to encourage, warn, and instruct the Churches he had founded, (the letters to the Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Thessalonians. He also composed letters to the Churches he had not visited, (Romans, Colossians, as well as to individuals like Timothy, Titus, and Philemon.
(Rom 1:16 MKJV) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
Note: the Resurrection was primarily not a doctrine, but a fact. It is not necessary to argue it, but simply to say Christ arose, therefore all will arise, because Christ is the Son of Man. Other religions rest on foundations of philosophy and metaphysics, but the empty grave in Joseph’s garden is the source. The Gospel of Paul is most important, because he knew all that could be alleged or argued against it by the Pharisees. Indeed, he had himself opposed it. Note the words, “not I.”
(1Co 15:10 MKJV) “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was toward me has not been without fruit, but I labored more abundantly than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God with me.” are also in
(1Co 7:10 MKJV) “And to the married I command (not I, but the Lord), a woman not to be separated from her husband.”And
(Gal 2:20 MKJV) “I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.”
I hope, at this point that you understand the scriptures you have read:
That there was more information regarding Christ’s work on the cross. Hence, called the mystery or mysteries.
Paul was taken away to be taught by Jesus Himself about these mysteries.
It was revealed to Paul only, and he could not speak of all that he saw and learned, when taught by Jesus.
(Rom 16:25-27 MKJV) “ Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, having been unvoiced during eternal times;”vs. 26: but now has been made plain, and by the prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith; vs. 27: to God only wise be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.”
Can you contradict what you have read? This time I let the Bible speak for itself. I am a “show me in the Bible, person.” I listen as best I can to the Holy Spirit inside of me.” You wouldn’t believe the ways He shuts me down, and directs me to the right subject matter, whether He is teaching me and you get the benefits or not? It is wild and I can tell you some stories. Another blog? you tell me, leave a message, comment.
I imagine that the “reformist” believe they are predestined to be saved, just because God knows ahead of time. But Jesus died for all and if you do not believe that, throw your Bible in the trash! We have free choice, didn’t Adam? So why go through all of this for a few??? We know the road is narrow, will you be on it? Do you know the deeper meaning behind 1 Corinthians 2:7-8?
(1Co 2:7 ) MKJV But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which God has hidden, pre-determining it before the world for our glory;
(1Co 2:8 MKJV) which none of the rulers of this world knew (for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory).
(Joh 5:39 MKJV) You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,
I do not know everything, but with each article, because I read the scriptures while I am writing them, I know to trust God’s Word over ANY man’s. I can only hope that this helped. But there are some unanswered questions, feel free to ask or make comments, Yours, truly, Deb.
