Do you believe in Angels?

Angels are a very popular subject trending in countless books that claim to offer first-hand accounts of experiences with angels. In addition, every where you go, don’t you hear someone say at a funeral, he/she will be an angel and go to heaven, especially if it’s a child.  

But as always, the Bible must remain our authority on the supernatural. Have you ever entered a house that is full of statues, candles, and paintings of these creatures. however, never forget that Satan and his cohorts are fallen angels.  By nature, Angels are spiritual beings.

(Heb 1:14 MKJV)  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?” WE WHO BELIEVE .

When the two women in the blog called “the Cult”, came to my door and offered me a bible study, I jumped on it because I was jewish and did not know any better, so when they extended an invitation to study the bible with me I jumped on it.

What I did not know at the time was that they had lowered Jesus as just another (deity),close to an angel.  See John 1:1:

Then when you are really entrenched in the Cult, you are told through the meeting materials that Jesus is really Michael the Arch-Angel. It comes to you in stages. It trickles down until you get the whole picture and by then it seems natural. the JW’s believed that Michael, in his battles with the Dragon in;

 (Rev 12:7 MKJV)  And there was war in Heaven. Michael and his angels warring against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels warred, (VS. 8 MKJV)  but did not prevail. Nor was place found for them in Heaven any more.”

(Dan 10:13 MKJV)  But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief rulers, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”

(Jud 1:9 MKJV)  But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the Devil, he argued about the body of Moses, he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, Let the Lord rebuke you!”

THEIR NATURE IS SUPERIOR AND SUPERHUMAN, WITH POWER AND KNOWLEDGE

Heb( 2:7 MKJV)  You have made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands.”

(2Sa 14:17 MKJV)  And your handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comforting. For as an angel of God, so is my lord the king, to see what is good and bad. And Jehovah your God will be with you.”

(2Sa 14:20 MKJV)  Your servant Joab has done this thing to change the face of the matter. And my lord is wise according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all that is in the land.”

(2Pe 2:11 MKJV)  Where angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reproaching accusation against them before the Lord.”

THEY ARE NOT, HOWEVER, ALL POWERFUL AND ALL KNOWING

(Psa 103:20 MKJV)  Bless Jehovah, O angels of His, who excel in strength, who do His command, listening to the voice of His Word.”

(2Th 1:7 MKJV)  and to give rest with us to you who are troubled, at the revealing of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with the angels of His power,”

What’s more, artistic portrayals of angels as winged creatures are generally without basis in the Bible.

Except for the Cherubim and Seraphim, mentioned in 

(Exo 25:20 MKJV)  And the cherubs shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, and their faces each toward the other; toward the mercy-seat shall the cherubs’ faces be.”

(Isa 6:2 MKJV)  Above it stood the seraphs; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.”

(Isa 6:6 MKJV)  Then one of the seraphs flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, snatched with tongs from the altar.”

(Eze 1:6 MKJV)  And four faces were to each, and four wings to each.”

About Angels

The Bible presents Angels as real beings and provides limited information about them. But, for the most part, leaves them veiled in mystery. Nonetheless, God sometimes lifts the veil and allows humans to catch a glimpse of the spiritual activity taking place around us.

Daniel saw some of the reality and found it overwhelming and troubling.

(Dan 7:15 MKJV)  I Daniel was distressed in my spirit in its body, and the visions of my head troubled me.”

(Dan 8:27 MKJV)  And I Daniel fainted, and was sick for days. Afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business. And I was amazed at the vision, but there was no understanding.”

Elisha felt differently.

(2Ki 6:16 MKJV)  And he answered, Do not fear, for those with us are more than those with them.  (vs. 17 MKJV)  And Elisha prayed and said, I pray You, Jehovah, open his eyes so that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold,” the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

ANGELS WERE CREATED  BY GOD. JESUS.

(Rom 1:20 MKJV)  For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.”

(Col 1:16 MKJV)  For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.”
(Col 1:17 MKJV)  And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.”
(Col 1:18 MKJV)  And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things.”

(Php 2:9 MKJV)  Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,  (VS. 10: MKJV)  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;
(VS. 11: MKJV)  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

(Heb 1:3 MKJV)  who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high,”

THE LOST ANGELS

In their original state they were Holy, but before the creation of the world some of them rebelled against God and lost this exalted position. This leading angel in this revolt became the Devil, also know as Satan, (no surprise there).

(Rev 12:4 MKJV)  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them onto the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman being about to bear, so that when she bears he might devour her child.
(Rev 12:5 MKJV)  And she bore a son, a male, who is going to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.”

I have discovered  an alarming amount of Christians today, look to angels for salvation. I walked into a friend’s house and angels, angels, everywhere. All forms, functions, like night lights, ceramic statues big and small, some that light up and ones that dance. I asked why , in this case did she have so many and the reply was that she felt safer. Safer than God? Some think they turn into angels when they die. this is so far from what the Bible says. They are a completely different creation. This is why I get into these subjects deeply so that Christians who really want to know what the Bible says can look it up themselves, and learn things that they are not getting from the pulpit. Believe it.
