THE CALLING

Only God knows who is in His Church. We can be sure by the witness of the Holy Spirit. Are you? We all sin. Right? However, how much is our foot in the world? We all must be in the world but not of the world. Nevertheless, we need to understand what it means to have the Holy Spirit inside us. It’s simple; our conscience is sensitive to the things we had been doing before we were saved. 

The Holy Spirit is the key. The key to getting information , direction, guidance, and comfort from God. He is the main source of what God wants us to do, to be. So, He slams doors! Pay attention; if you are having a difficult time after you have made a decision, and it continues even though you prayed about it, then it was your decision, not God’s.  

Consequently,  The answer to your prayer is “not now.”We hear from God by many avenues. So, do not continue on that path, give it a break and put it in God’s hands by doing nothing and watching Him at work.

For instance, I wanted to write a blog on “angels.” However, I could not get the flow going with the Holy Spirit. I found out by giving it up for a time and did a blog that went smoothly. It’s a God thing.” This was the one about my neighbor calling me a “dispensationalist.” 

Following my salvation, I realized that I had nothing to do with it. God chooses His people who are His own.

(Eph 2:8 MKJV)  For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,”

We can see in the ways the Pharisees’ and Scribes and wealthy Jews in Jesus day conducted themselves. The Lord condemned them, as in Matthew 23:27

(Mat 23:27 MKJV)  Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which indeed appear beautiful outside, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.”

Do you see some Christian leaders showing off their wealth, and false healings?They are revealing who owns them by their actions; “look at me; I can save; i can heal and worst of all the comments are “you can be rich like me if you follow me.” All you hear loudly, is “I,I,I! 

Jesus warned that in the last days we would run into so-called “preachers” like these. 

(Mat 24:11 MKJV)  And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.”

Are you being deceived? I was for fifteen years. It is essential that I use scriptures and quotes, because without the support of the Holy Bible, I would be as guilty as those whom I warn against.

When anyone says to me, “It’s in the Bible,” I say show me, not one scripture but at least two. So I intend to show you. That should be routine for us as Christians. Since it is what Jesus left us for understanding, conduct, praying, etc. there are too many things to list in any blog. It also contains our Salvation 

Oh,  I realize I am just touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Word of God. It would take many lifetimes to truly absorb it. In reality I, personally cannot do anything without God being the source. It is a Gift of Grace.

(2Pe 1:10 MKJV)  Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.”

When I first felt the Holy Spirit, I felt a joy unspeakable. It is  personal  and it is between you and the Lord, Jesus Christ. I must say, however, that I found “humility” to be the most difficult attribute of Jesus to attain and I am still praying about it. So please forgive me if I sound anything but humble.

My non-believing husband, Tony and I were discussing religion and he was going on about how people like to use it as a crutch. Don’t we hear that all the time? So I pointed out that when I was saved I needed no crutch, and he reluctantly agreed. If you are being called, heed the call. It is sometimes a gentle call or it can be like heard it, with cymbals. No matter how God reaches your heart, it is more than worth it.

I received nothing like it in the Kingdom Hall. The air was oppressive, not unlike some churches when Satan gets his foot in the door. Do not expect perfection from “born-again” Christians. We still sin, and will, until we die. However, we have an advocate, our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. God the Father sees us through Jesus’ eyes.

I implore you , that  if you hear the call, not to waste another minute, but to allow yourself to be convicted and repent from your sins, because God loves us. You can die today: People do, I can promise you that it will change your life in unbelievable ways. What do you have to lose? Again, heed the call.

Otherwise,you will find yourself sitting on the fence. I have heard it said that Satan owns the fence. So, we are either for Him or against Him.
